A while ago we created the mosaic of Google Earth pictured above using images tagged with the words 'Maps, Space and Aerial'. The result was a photo mosaic of 5000 images which was aimed at getting across the point of 'mashups' for a forthcoming presentation. However, the movie below details the Earth using videos to create the mosaic, taken from the project http://www.momentonearth.com/ it rather puts ours in the shade...
