All you have to do is:

1: draw a triangle along the red or green axis(with with and therefore surfaces) with the proportions of height: 8.55, base: 5, width: any value. 2:rotate it 45 degrees.
3: then right click on the hypothenuse surface of the triangle and choose "align view"
4: in the camera menu, switch "parallell projection" on.

Done.

As for pixel art, it's great to draw the rudimentary shapes in SketchUp and then cover the 2d-exported image with a layer of your own pixel pushing.Stefan Kropidlowski Larssonnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9986652.post-14852801391318160942012-07-16T18:07:40.129+01:002012-07-16T18:07:40.129+01:00NO, I just tried.

I think it benefits from the same things: the ease and speed to create beautiful things. A pity there aren't many cga rulefiles available to use, I see you're still using the 2010 standard template as are many people. The emphasis is too much on possibilities of the program and integration with other software instead of creating real usable content. Creating a rulefile yourself is imo still too hard.Sandernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9986652.post-39944030281790180902012-05-18T05:16:16.900+01:002012-05-18T05:16:16.900+01:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.architect softwarehttp://www.unionsquaresoftware.com/software-for-architects.aspxnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9986652.post-4974306042431560682012-05-16T00:43:29.087+01:002012-05-16T00:43:29.087+01:00Nice work guys.

Humans are what it is all about.
The Urban Engine is all about getting down to street level user experience - cars, bikes and people - because that is where we live.
Feel free to contact us via www.u-c.com.au to have a go any time. We will send you a link.
We love City Engine, SketchUp and Max too - and it all fits into the same workflow. However, we tend to take real data from GIS / LIDAR / survey / CAD design and push that through as a context (via FBX) then start importing revitt / max / sketchup proposals into this base. This is what the Victorian Government now use on a daily basis in house for development assessment. We have also built a "2.5D" building volumetric tool to allow real simple forms to be made in about 12 seconds (easier than sketchup) - to be used live in meetings.
Cheers.
Dr Ben GuyUrban Circushttp://www.urbancircus.com.aunoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9986652.post-80614537941862800162012-05-14T16:34:47.060+01:002012-05-14T16:34:47.060+01:00Let's have it right: I've seen Congolese r...Let's have it right: I've seen Congolese renting luxury houses and buying apartments around the world...Do you guys know the current rental rates in Kinshasa downtime & Gombe and nearest...?
